Our Story

Almavista began with a simple search for a spirit worth savoring. We tasted our way through many expressions of agave, and the one that stayed with us every time was extra añejo: deep, patient and refined. We set out to shape our own flavor profile, drawing on everything we had come to love in the spirit world. We wanted one with real elegance, one that could be enjoyed neat and on its own, with no additives, just agave and time.

We partnered with a master distiller in Tequila, Mexico, the birthplace of the spirit. Months of thought and countless tastings became years of refining, until every note was right. As a cigar lover, our founder had one more goal: a sip that pairs perfectly with a fine mild-to-medium cigar, completing the ritual of smoking and sipping. With our master distiller's experience guiding every barrel, Almavista was born. Now we're ready to share it with the world.

The Name

Almavista was created to begin a new legacy, one meant to stand the test of time. Every part of the name has a meaning:

• ALMASoul, the part of us this spirit is made to feed and lift.
• AVFor our daughter Ava.
• ISTAFor our daughter Christa.
• 1299The years our daughters were born: 2012 and 1999.

Every bottle carries our family's name, and our hope is that it brings a little soul to yours.
